But as for you, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded." (2 Chronicles 15:7 NLT)

At times it may seem as though we are facing overwhelming circumstances, those are the times that the Lord wants us to be strong! Have faith and cry out to Him, he is always there waiting to encourage you, strengthen and reward you with his grace and mercy. Delight in the Lord, shower him with praise and he will continuously bless you and keep you in his divine favor!

Next!

So I passed all my finals, ended up with 2 A's and a B, not what I was going for but I'll take it!  My next term has started, and I'm already in the middle of upcoming homework assignments.  My goal this term is to stay ahead of due dates, not just simply make the due dates.  This will be especially hard for me the professional procrastinator, so I'll just say pray for me.

My God is ever faithful, graceful, overflowing with wonders, and always on time! I am blessed going in and coming out, at all times is my savior protecting and shielding me! In my unfortunate circumstances he uses me to spread his word through living testament and to offer the ever open invitation to seek him.

I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. (Psalm 34:1,2)

Steve Jobs and the Portal to the Invisible - Esquire

Steve Jobs and the Portal to the Invisible - Esquire: "
http://www.esquire.com/features/75-most-influential/steve-jobs-1008"

This article was amazingly written, but sometimes I wonder about the god-like qualities that people attribute to others. No doubt about it Steve Jobs was a very talented creator, but at certain points in this article I would have thought the author was talking about Moses leading his people to the promise land. Again I'll say this was a great read, I just hope people don't read too much into it. Aside from that I love the technology that Mr. Jobs produced and I am sure in the future both far and near, we will long for his creative genius. The Lord made us all unique and special, Steve Jobs tapped into his God given talent and let his imagination soar like eagles.

Floored

I'm sitting here randomly going through videos on Yahoo!, I need to make a new workout mix, and since I don't really listen to the radio, I need to hear what's out there.  So my brother just told me last night about this Lil Wayne song and I'm like really, it's called "how to love", so I had pulled it up on the itunes and played a lil clip and kept it movin. So fast forward to today, I just saw the video and sat here and cried. Yes I'm a crybaby anyway, but still that video was deep, it was sad then beautiful at the same time.  I said I'm always learning, I guess I shouldn't have prejudged Lil Wayne. I was wrong . . . and no I still haven't studied if your wondering.

Hi I'm New Here

I've posted some notes from my bible http://www.youversion.com/users/PrincessNhisKngdm/notes , to get me started, hope you enjoy them if you read them.

I'm in week 8 of my accelerated classes! Which is exciting and daunting at the same time, because while this does mean it's almost over, it also means finals, oh and a new term immediately following.  However I'm hanging on to an A by the skin of my teeth, and I think I will be crushed if I don't finish strong, so what do I do procrastinate and not study! Right! Sometimes I wonder does my brain somehow think that if I don't do the work it will just disappear?  Not so sure that I'm as smart as everyone thinks I am. Anywho, my classes this term were kind of great, both of them are psychology classes one called Lifespan Development and the other is Substance Abuse.  They were extremely interesting and I learned more than I ever wanted to know about drugs, but I'm glad I know I feel more aware, I think my view on who did what drugs was very narrow, so now I have a broader more realistic view.  The papers in the other class was actually the best part, I wrote a paper on ADHD, Parenting Incompetency, and a Male v. Female relationship differences, they all gave me an opportunity to dig deeper into the core of my subjects.  Well I guess I ought to get to studying, although I honestly doubt that that's what I'll actually end up doing, it never is . . .

Whom shall I fear - Notes - YouVersion.com: "1 Samuel 25:29 NLT

1 Samuel 25:29 “Even when you are chased by those who seek to kill you, your life is safe in the care of the Lord your God, secure in his treasure pouch! But the lives of your enemies will disappear like stones shot from a sling! (1 Samuel 25:29 NLT)

Rest assured when you are fighting for the Lord, there is no one to fear."

Learn to Listen - Notes - YouVersion.com: "Matthew 2:20 NLT

“Get up!” the angel said. “Take the child and his mother back to the land of Israel, because those who were trying to kill the child are dead.” (Matthew 2:20 NLT)

Clear and direct is how Josephs' message comes. God does not beat around the bush when sends word to you. At times we choose to disregard or pretend we don't hear what He is telling us to do because maybe it doesn't make sense to us, doesn't fit with the plan or course that we have already decided to take. I pray that we would humble ourselves and quiet our own desires so that we are better able to serve Gods will. Listen as you're being directed and trust in the Lord."

Right Choices - Notes - YouVersion.com: "1 Peter 3:12 NLT

The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.”t (1 Peter 3:12 NLT)

Staying in the will of God gives you the assurance that you will always have a direct line to speak with Him and be heard. Know that all your good deeds are not missed by the One who takes joy in the life you're choosing to live. Keep loving family."

Casting Out - Notes - YouVersion.com

Casting Out - Notes - YouVersion.com: "Psalm 6:8-9 NLT

Go away, all you who do evil, for the Lord has heard my weeping. The Lord has heard my plea; the Lord will answer my prayer. (Psalm 6:8, 9 NLT)

Look at your surroundings, are those closest to you filled with negativity and self loathing? Will you let others keep you from dwelling in the peace that the Lord so freely gives? Cast out those who would tear you down and reaffirm yourself in the Lords will. Be patient with your prayers for those that wait on the Lord shall receive their blessings."

Nourish your Soul - Notes - YouVersion.com: "Matthew 4:4 NIV

Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.' " (Matthew 4:4 NIV)

What does your daily sustenance consist of? Do you feel something is lacking from your nutritional balance? Are you filling up on God's word? Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. (Psalm 34:8 NIV)"

Speak Love - Notes - YouVersion.com

Speak Love - Notes - YouVersion.com: "2 Corinthians 5:20 NIV

We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:20 NIV)

We may look at our lives and ask "what qualifies me to make a plea in Jesus's name?" The Lord knows that our imperfections, make us the perfect candidate to restore the relationships between the lost and the Lord. Let's receive our assignment with joy in our hearts, begin blessing his name and speak on his behalf, then we too can be truly blessed!!"

Tough Love - Notes - YouVersion.com

Tough Love - Notes - YouVersion.com: "Isaiah 38:16-17 NIV

16 Lord, your discipline is good, for it leads to life and health. You restore my health and allow me to live! (Isaiah 38:16 NLT)

17 Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish. In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back. (Isaiah 38:17 NIV)

Discipline is defined as training that corrects, molds, or perfects the mental faculties and moral character. Our heavenly Teacher hands out a bit of tough love as we navigate the folds of life. Have faith that all we overcome is only to bring us closer to who we are in the eyes of our Lord and Saviour."

Call Anytime - Notes - YouVersion.com

Call Anytime - Notes - YouVersion.com: "Psalm 91:14-15 NLT

The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. (Psalm 91:14, 15 NLT)

When do you call on the Lord? Is it possibly after you've tried everything else? After we've tired and worn ourselves out, as a last resort we throw our hands up and cry out for the Father to help. Then God steps in shielding and strengthening, building and encouraging. As we feel the pressures that were mounting begin to recede, we wonder "God what took you so long?!" I think God would ask the same thing! The word tells us, he says "when you call", so when we get around to calling on him, he shows up. Let's rearrange our speed dial. He should be our first call in good times and bad."

Forgive Me - Notes - YouVersion.com

Forgive Me - Notes - YouVersion.com: "Matthew 18:21-22 NLT

Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someonet who sins against me? Seven times?” “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!t (Matthew 18:21, 22 NLT)

Have you ever hurt someone? Intentionally or unintentionally? Perhaps at the time you believed or felt they deserved it, or maybe you were overwhelmed with guilt at some point. Did you go to that person and ask for forgiveness? Was it given? How did you feel upon being granted or denied that forgiveness? I'm praying for a forgiving spirit in all my endeavors, that I may always find forgiveness given when I am in need. I pray also that we would all give love and forgiveness as freely as the Lord has given it to us. "

Blessed - Notes - YouVersion.com: "Psalm 51:1-2 NLT

Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin. (Psalm 51:1, 2 NLT)

Because God is sympathetic to our distress' and desires to alleviate them, He blesses us with mercy as an act of divine favor. Free from all undesirable elements we are made perfect in his sight. How blessed are we?!!"

I Will Bless The Lord - Notes - YouVersion.com: "Psalm 119:65 NLT

You have done many good things for me, Lord, just as you promised. (Psalm 119:65 NLT)

At times we allow things to obstruct our view, and can find it hard to see all the blessings the Lord has placed before us. I pray for clear sight and a joyful heart, for he is good in all his ways and worthy to be praised. Lord fill me with your spirit and let my cup overflow as I worship you in all your glory!! My heart cries out to you alone for there is none like you and none greater!"

Endurance - Notes - YouVersion.com: "Hebrews 10:36 NIV

Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. (Hebrews 10:36 NLT)

The Lords desire is not that we should have an easy life, but that we should have everlasting life. For this reason He encourages us to be steadfast in the face of adversity. Then He strengthens us with the ability to withstand our trials and hardships, so that we may rest on his promise."

I Trust You - Notes - YouVersion.com

I Trust You - Notes - YouVersion.com: "1 John 2:28 NIV

And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming. (1 John 2:28 NIV)

When Christ returns will you be ashamed? Of course at some point in your life you will have felt shame, even if it was not of your own doing. How do you move past your shame? It seems that shame moves gloriously in stages, and yes I said gloriously! I'll explain, first is that awful stage of regret, and the even worse stage of remorse, and then that final glorious stage of repentance. Repentance is what allows us to remain in Him. Are we supposed to be perfect? Sure, give it your best shot, but when you fall short of the Glory, go ahead and work your way towards that other glory called repentance and trust in your God.

Trust- assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone."

Delivered, Rescued, Redeemed, Saved - Notes - YouVersion.com

Delivered, Rescued, Redeemed, Saved - Notes - YouVersion.com: "2 Timothy 4:18 NLT

Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen. (2 Timothy 4:18 NLT)

Deliver implies release of a person from confinement, temptation, slavery, or suffering.

Rescue implies freeing from imminent danger.

Redeem implies releasing from bondage.

Save further implies a preserving for continued existence.

Have you ever been delivered, rescued, redeemed, or saved? Let your heart praise his Holy name! Bless the Lord for his faithfulness, for his mercies and graces are unfailing, and his love is unconditional. Stumble and fall I do but my Lord never counts it against me, but pulls me up with a firm grasp to reassure me that in his love I am free!!"

Restoration - Notes - YouVersion.com

Restoration - Notes - YouVersion.com:

Jeremiah 33:3 NIV84

Answers are offered only in response to a question, and often as a solution to a problem. The Lord offers a restoration full of grace and mercy. How can you be brought back to your former position? When will you be returned to an improved condition? Who can reconstruct you into your original form? If these are the unsearchable questions of your heart. The Lord says. ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ (Jeremiah 33:3 NIV84)

Who commands you? - Notes - YouVersion.com

Who commands you? - Notes - YouVersion.com:

Joshua 1:9 NIV

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 NIV84)

What does it mean to be commanded?
- To be directed in an authoritative manner.

When does one issue a command?
- When they are able to overlook from a strategic position.

Why is a command issued?
- To dominate the situation from an elevated place.

Who is authorized to command you?
- When receiving one's due.

God directs us with authority because he has a strategic view, that allows him to dominate the situation from an elevated place. We should obey because it is his due, his love and sacrifice qualifies him above all others.

Jesus makes an offer - Notes - YouVersion.com:

Matthew 11:28 NIV

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28 NIV)

Jesus wants to hold us (support, accommodate, cover for protection), so that we no longer have to toil (work to exhaustion, battle, struggle, strife; move with difficulty, pain or weariness), but can rest (have peace of mind and spirit, freedom from labor and anxieties) while he carries our burdens (afflictions, trials, tribulations, cross).
